Whats with all these gadgets and toys!! We have literally bought and been given so many things like baby swings, rockers, rattles and singing light flashy things. They keep Kaitlin happy for 5 mins before she gets bored and wants something else!? They all end up on the living room floor waiting for us to trip over them and brake our ankle! I must admit she loves the swing and secretly so do I (apart from the songs it plays!) it keeps her happy for a bit longer and she often falls asleep all by her self (which is often rare) thanks to its speed settings. I must say its the best buy yet because she wont play with rattles and Peppa Pig on tv keeps her occupied for about 2 mins yet this thing seems to work. No idea why but sometimes she prefers it to us!!!
She also enjoys her stand alone singing thing it plays allsorts of tunes and flashes lights, she loves concetrating and following the lights often kicking her legs because if she knows the dangling birds it changes song! It was so cheap and I take it to grandparents houses so it keeps her occpupied there because she always gets fed up with everyone wanting a hold! It folds up so at least this one doesn't clutter my living room!!!! Honestly its like going around a maze if your wanting to go make a drink!!
I have no idea have babies were kept occupied ( or parents kept sane for that matter!) before toys and swings were invented! I wouldn't go a day without some of these baby gadgets I think I'd go crazy walking her round :) If anyone has any tips let me no!!
